Stay in the know
In the week of March 17th, colleagues from the Netherlands and Cape Town reconnected to further developments and steps for compensation. A lot is happening in Cape Town, and this week is all about collaboration, knowledge sharing, and progress.
The focus of this week is on water compensation. One of the key topics of discussion is the development of the compensation platform and the next steps in this process. Together with our colleagues in Cape Town, we are working on concrete solutions that can have a lasting impact.
In addition to internal discussions, Water Footprint Implementation is also meeting with key stakeholders at the Dutch Consulate to introduce the water footprint compensation platform.
We are having meetings with organizations as Department of Water and Sanitation, the Nature Conservancy, University of Cape Town and Water Research Commission about the compensation and the Coalition of the Willing in South Africa. These meetings strengthen collaboration among different organizations and pave the way for more sustainable watermanagement in South Africa.
Beyond the stakeholder meetings, Water Footprint Implementation is also attending the IWA Conference on Water Reclamation and Reuse. This event provides a unique opportunity to gain insights into the latest innovations and best practices in water reuse, a crucial topic for sustainable water solutions.
It is an intensive and valuable week, building strong partnerships and innovative solutions for water management. By actively engaging in policy development and knowledge exchange, we are contributing to a more sustainable future!
